Current Practices and Recommendations at v2020 Counseling
My office is currently going fully virtual, until King County officials/government officials announce that it is safe to not practice social distancing.
Dr Ruan is licensed to practiced in NY, CT and WA state. She is willing and able to take clients who need counseling in this hour of need.
As such, v2020 counseling's calendar is no longer restricted to its normal Monday, Thursday, Friday schedule, we are open all weekdays. Please visit the scheduling page for details.
When doing online therapy, it is highly recommended that you have a video camera, without which it is much harder for the therapist to make eye contact with you.
We are offering telehealth services using a secure, HIPPA-compliant videoconferencing platform, Zoom. You will need to download and I will give you my Zoom ID to set up a virtual meeting.
For couple/ relationship clients, I can use Zoom to offer sessions up to three people, including myself simultaneously at the present time. This may require the participant to set up his/her account via Zoom and again I can send out a meeting ID when scheduling a session and the participants join by entering the meeting ID.
