Couple’s | Marriage Counseling

Are you:

  • Tired of endless rounds of argument with your partner/ spouse?

  • Just sharing your living space with your partner/ spouse, with nothing much else in common? The silence between you and your spouse has gone for days and weeks.

  • Feeling that your communications with your partner/ spouse constantly get taken out of context and your real intentions always land sideways?

  • Feel that you and your partner/spouse swing between the two ends: either you don’t communicate enough, or when you do it ends in shouting matches.

  • And your spouse exhausted trying to juggle the career and kids. You feel so burned out and don’t know where to start to rekindle the connection.

  • Feeling that a “third party” has invaded your relationship. This “third-party” ranges from in-laws, kids, step-children, or even the person(s) that your partner/spouse has an affair with. You are constantly walking cautiously on eggshells.

You’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. This is where I can help!

HOW CAN I HELP?

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington, Connecticut and New York (inactive now), and have several years of experience in helping couples to repair their relationship, develop positive communication patterns, and manage their conflicts more effectively. I help couples to gain clarity on the interaction patterns that they get stuck in and help them to find new ways to get along better with each other and feel connected as a team. Promoting a healthy intimate relationship / marriage takes the highest priority in my work with couples as couples create a sense of “Healthy Me & Healthy Us”!

My training in working with couples is based on Gottman Couples Therapy Method, which is highly respected and research supported couples therapy modality to date. After completing all Gottman Method required training, I’m currently enrolling in the Gottman Certification Track Program, working with a Certified Gottman Consultant to become a Certified Gottman Couples Therapist in the near future.

Additionally, my work with couples is also informed by Bill Doherty, who invented Discernment Counseling working with couples who are ambivalent about their marriage. Concurrently, I am also pursuing to become a Certified Discernment Counselor through the Doherty Relationship Institute.

Don’t put off calling for help because you think something will just change. The earlier you get help, the sooner you can move forward with your life. I also work with couples who want to incorporate their spiritual faith to their counseling work.
